Which Coffee Hike is Right for you?

We have a nice mix of short, scenic strolls and longer waterfall day hikes - see which hike you want to do next.

  1. Coffee Hike to Three Waterfalls

If you want to see three of the most scenic waterfalls in one medium length hike, this is the one for you! It’s our most popular for a reason. This is the perfect hike for different levels of hikers, beginners, older hikers, families, couples - basically anyone. It does have two steeper short climbs, but your guide will make sure to take plenty of breaks to enjoy the outdoors along the way.

Hike Length - 3.5-ish miles

Duration: 2.5ish hours total

2. Coffee Hike to Pisgah Waterfalls + Natural Water Slide

This hike is tucked in Pisgah National Forest and will lead you to one off the prettiest waterfalls in the area! After the first waterfall, we’ll pass a natural rock waterslide and if the weather’s nice we can totally stop for a slide and a swim. Pack a swimsuit in the summer! The falls are beautiful, but what we really love about this hike is that you can hear the rushing water the entire time. This hike follows the creek so the peaceful sounds follow you the whole route and there’s often lots of wildflowers along the trail too.

Hike Length - 3 miles

Duration: 3.5 hours total (with driving in to the forest)

3. Short Hike + Coffee Behind A Waterfall

This quick out and back hike is the perfect way to start a day. You can use this as a jumping off point to hit other hikes in the area after (we have wayyyy to many to recommend - just ask your guide!) or head in to the town of Brevard after - it's just a few mikes outside of Pisgah. It has all the cute shops, food, beer, coffee, etc. you’re looking for from a visit to the mountains. As a little bonus, this hike includes free hot, ridiculously-delicious mini donuts from a local coffee truck, so it’s really just the best way to start a day. Double Bonus! Quick pit stop by Looking Glass Falls included too.

Hike Length: 1.7 miles

Duration: 2 hours

4. Coffee Hike To Sam’s Knob + Secret Hammock Spots

This 5 mile hike will lead you to mountain views and one of the prettiest mountain streams I have ever seen - the perfect place to hammock.

This hike is for the person who wants a great, longer hike and wants to enjoy a day in the mountains. I feel that most tours put you in the mindset of “checking off” places but this tour is meant to help you enjoy the area more like a local. Feel free to bring a book, a podcast, or anything else to enjoy some down time in a pretty place :)

Hike Length: 5 miles total

Duration: 4.5 hours

We are more than a hiking guide service. We’re on a mission to create a community around sharing experiences together, Our coffee hikes slow life down a bit so you can enjoy the best day outside, with great coffee, of course.

Take home some Trail Magic ✨

Nero Coffee’s medium roast

In the backpacking community, “Trail Magic” is anything awesome and unexpected that happens out on a trail. Let’s say you’re hiking up a steep mountain on what might be the hottest day of the year. You get to the summit and you are tired and then you look down and there is a huge cooler labeled “trail magic” and it’s filled with ice cold Gatorades! A hiker that wished they had a cold drink when they were there hiked up with a cooler to leave it for hikers coming behind them - it’s all about paying it forward.

My Appalachian Trail thru hike was filled with moments like this, so I find ways to do “trail magic” for others on and off the trail.

I hope it’s is a little moment of “trail magic” in your morning.
